Class Descriptions

Hulaerobics

a body toning class in which you learn to hoop on your torso, arms and legs. It helps improve posture, trims the waist, firms the thighs and eats up calories. PLEASE NOTE: You must not particpate in this class if you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant or are receiving fertility treatment. Navel piercings must be removed to avoid injury. Bruising may occur to areas where the hoop is used, due to the nature of the activity and the equipment used.

Yoga

Encompassing all styles of yoga, these classes are suitable for all levels. Yoga is used to release physical and mental tension.

Fitness Pilates

A non-cardiovascular workout to improve core strength, flexibility, posture and muscular imbalances. Great for those returning to exercise after an injury or long absence.

Beginners Salsa

A progressive course teaching the basic salsa steps and routines. No partner required. Please wear clothing that is easy to move in and shoes, boots or sandals NOT trainers or bulky shoes. A great way to meet new people and make new friends.

Nordic Walking

An exciting new outdoor walking technique using specially designed walking poles. It burns more calories than normal walking, strengthens the back and arms and releases tension in the neck and shoulders. It's great fun too!(More Information)

Belly Dancing

Belly dancing gives a complete cardiovascular workout and strengthens the abdominal muscles, and is gaining popularity among men and women who want to lose weight. An intense sixty-minute session may burn around 330 calories. Since one focus of belly dancing is to gain strength and flexibility in the abdomen, the dance form is said to be one of the quickest ways to achieve firmness.

Ballroom & Latin

Strictly Come Dancing, new Ballroom and Latin class for beginners. Starting from a beginners level, come and learn everything from Cha Cha to Quickstep. Anyone can pick up these steps, its fun and keeps you very fit!

Ninjutsu

Ninjutsu, taught today as part of Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu, is a martial art with a traceable history stretching back 900 years to feudal Japan. This makes it one of the oldest martial arts.

In our training we employ natural body movements to strike, apply locks and to throw. Once the basic ideas of unarmed defence have been grasped, weapons training is introduced. (More Information)
